Apple is reportedly preparing to release several devices soon, but without much fanfare. The Cupertino-based tech giant is said to be updating its tablet lineup with new chips via a press release after skipping 2023. Additionally, there are new MacBook Air models, new color options for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, and several other products that the company may also launch, a report says. While iPad Pro, iPad Air and MacBook Air models could launch as early as this week, the remaining products are believed to be released in April 2024.
A MacRumors report cites unnamed sources “familiar with the matter” saying Apple may launch the new device on its own this week. But it did not reveal which products are expected to be released or the exact timing of that release. However, this isn’t the only report claiming that Apple plans to launch multiple products.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman said in his Power On newsletter: “Apple is preparing to release a slew of new hardware in the coming weeks. These include improved iPad Pro models and an updated iPad Air (which adds 12.9-inch screen option), as well as a new Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard for the high-end iPad. On the Mac side, there are 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models with the faster M3 chip. All of these new products are manufactured overseas , Apple’s marketing team is preparing to announce them relatively soon.”
According to reports, the list may include major upgrades to two new iPad Pro models. The Apple tablet is expected to feature an M3 chipset, an OLED panel, a redesigned rear camera module, a horizontal front-facing camera, a slimmer body, and more. This will be the first time in more than five years that the Pro model has received such a significant update.
Two new iPad Air models powered by the M2 chipset are also expected to be launched. According to reports, the biggest highlight of the product line is the company’s first 12.9-inch iPad Air model. The MacBook Air is also said to be getting an update in the coming weeks. New 13-inch and 15-inch models powered by M3 SoC and supporting WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are likely to be released.
On top of that, there’s a new Magic Keyboard with a larger trackpad, a new Apple Pencil, and new shades of iPhone cases and Apple Watch bands. This is also the time when the tech giant traditionally launches new color options for its latest iPhone range. The report mentioned that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus may be the first phones to get the new appearance in the next few weeks.
Despite the company’s big release, the latest report says there won’t be any events for the devices, which will be announced via multiple press releases in the coming weeks.
